When he is not busy energizing New York Knicks fans and grinding through the grueling NBA season, Josh Hart has long enjoyed the bright, warm escape of South Florida. But the versatile basketball star is now ready to officially part ways with his Miami-area sanctuary, returning the stylish property to the real estate market nearly a year after he and his wife decided to pull it from the listing block.

Hart and his wife, Shannon, originally acquired the contemporary five-bedroom property located in the affluent Miami suburb of Pinecrest for $4.75 million back in 2022, according to public property records. After spending a couple of years enjoying the sun-drenched coastal atmosphere when professional obligations allowed, the couple initially listed the residence for sale last year with an asking price of $5.9 million. When immediate buyers did not step forward at that figure, they adjusted the price downward to $5.8 million before ultimately deciding to take the home off the market altogether to reevaluate their options.
Now, the luxury residence is back up for grabs, listed at $5.7 million with real estate agent Michael Martinez of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.

Tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac within the desirable Coconut Palm Estates enclave, the roughly 4,500-square-foot home embodies modern luxury living combined with a relaxed, tropical ambiance. The layout features an open-concept design that seamlessly blends formal entertaining spaces with comfortable family living areas. At the heart of the home is a spacious, chef-grade kitchen outfitted with warm wood cabinetry, sleek marble countertops, top-tier designer appliances, and a generously sized walk-in pantry.
While the kitchen serves as an impressive culinary workspace, it was the adjacent casual breakfast nook that quickly became a favorite spot for the NBA star and his inner circle. In a previous interview with The Wall Street Journal, Hart noted that he spent a significant amount of his downtime in that exact corner of the house—making morning coffee, hanging out with his friends, and catching up on television broadcasts.

The main living areas benefit from expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the interior with natural light and frame picturesque views of the lush, resort-like grounds outside. Upstairs, the primary bedroom suite serves as a private retreat, complete with its own dedicated balcony that looks directly out over the dense, tropical landscaping characterizing the property’s perimeter.
Step outside into the backyard, and the property immediately reveals its vacation-ready credentials. The meticulously landscaped outdoor space features a sparkling swimming pool designed to beat the South Florida heat, expansive covered terraces for shaded outdoor lounging, a fully equipped summer kitchen ideal for weekend barbecues, and a private putting green for golf enthusiasts. Furthermore, the residence comes equipped with practical upgrades, including a full-home generator to ensure uninterrupted power during the region’s notorious seasonal storm outages.

Hart has consistently spoken warmly about his family’s time in the neighborhood, noting that they genuinely loved the community and the local lifestyle. However, the realities of life as a professional athlete in the NBA have made it increasingly difficult for them to spend meaningful time in South Florida. Hart’s professional schedule has been particularly demanding and historic as of late, highlighted by deep playoff runs and a monumental milestone: helping the New York Knicks capture their first NBA championship in 53 years.
Even so, parting ways with the Pinecrest property does not mean the Harts are closing the door on the Sunshine State forever. The professional basketball player indicated to the press that he fully anticipates returning to the real estate market in the area to purchase another home once his playing days on the hardwood officially come to an end.

Hart is far from the only high-profile professional basketball player to maintain deep real estate ties to the affluent Pinecrest neighborhood. The enclave has quietly evolved into a magnet for NBA talent. Superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo recently secured a massive $13.5 million mansion in the very same neighborhood following a high-profile trade to the Miami Heat. Conversely, as player movements shifted league rosters, former Heat guard Tyler Herro listed his own sprawling South Florida estate for $12 million after transitioning to the Milwaukee Bucks, while Houston Rockets forward Jeff Green successfully parted ways with his Pinecrest estate for $15.5 million earlier this year.
For now, Hart’s primary domestic base remains considerably closer to his team’s home court in New York City. He and his wife primarily reside in Harrison, New York, nestled within Westchester County. Reflecting their practical yet playful family life, the couple previously commissioned a custom 250-square-foot children’s playroom inside their northern residence. That dedicated space was uniquely outfitted with a custom climbing structure, an indoor basketball hoop, and vibrant wallpaper featuring classic New York City yellow cabs—adding a distinctly local touch to their daily routine.
