WATERFORD, Connecticut — In a significant move that highlights its ongoing strategy for regional expansion and operational diversification, the Waterford Hotel Group has announced the addition of three unique hotels to its growing management portfolio. The newly acquired management assignments span three distinct geographic markets and feature a diverse array of lodging experiences, ranging from an airport-adjacent business and university hotel to a vibrant Art Deco boutique property and a historic lakeside resort.

The properties newly integrated into the Waterford Hotel Group ecosystem include the 107-room Courtyard by Marriott Ithaca Airport/University situated in Ithaca, New York; the 54-room Le Particulier Miami located in the heart of Miami Beach, Florida; and the historic 44-room Wolfeboro Inn positioned directly on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Each location brings its own distinct character, target demographic, and operational demands to the management company, offering a broad canvas for the firm’s hospitality expertise.

Statements From Leadership

The expansion underscores Waterford Hotel Group’s commitment to scaling its operations thoughtfully while maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction and property performance across varying asset classes. Company leadership expressed enthusiasm regarding the incorporation of these three diverse destinations into their national portfolio.

“We are pleased to welcome these three properties to the Waterford portfolio,” said Michael Heaton, president of Waterford Hotel Group. “Each hotel offers a distinct guest experience and presents an opportunity to leverage Waterford’s operating expertise, commercial resources, and commitment to exceptional hospitality. These additions reflect our continued focus on strategic growth and our ability to deliver value across a broad range of hotel types and markets.”

The partnership is also poised to bring fresh momentum to historical and community-focused assets within the portfolio. This is notably evident in the collaboration surrounding the Wolfeboro Inn, a property deeply rooted in the heritage of its local region. Vaios Theodorakos, president and chief executive officer of VTT Management Inc., emphasized the importance of preserving the inn’s legacy while positioning it for future success through strategic investment and professional management oversight.

“The Wolfeboro Inn holds a special place in the hearts of the community, and we are committed to preserving the character and hospitality that have made it a cherished destination for generations,” said Vaios Theodorakos, president and chief executive officer of VTT Management Inc. “We believe that working with Waterford and by investing in the property, we can build upon the inn’s strong foundation while positioning it for a wonderful future. We look forward to a productive partnership.”

Property Details

The newly added hotels represent a wide spectrum of the hospitality industry, each serving distinct traveler segments and offering tailored amenities suited to their respective locations.

The Courtyard by Marriott Ithaca Airport/University is strategically positioned less than a mile from the Ithaca Tompkins International Airport. This proximity makes it an ideal destination for academic travelers, business professionals, and tourists visiting the area. The hotel provides convenient access to prestigious institutions such as Cornell University, as well as the vibrant offerings of Downtown Ithaca and the scenic attractions of the surrounding Finger Lakes region.

Accommodations at the Ithaca property consist of 107 well-appointed guestrooms and suites designed to meet the needs of both short-term and extended-stay visitors. Guests staying at the property can utilize a variety of on-site amenities, including The Bistro, which serves breakfast and dinner daily, providing a convenient dining option on the premises. For wellness and recreation, the hotel features an indoor swimming pool and a modern, 24-hour fitness center. Additionally, travelers benefit from practical conveniences such as complimentary on-site parking and a dedicated airport shuttle service. The property is also equipped to host corporate events and social functions, offering 676 square feet of flexible event space capable of accommodating meetings and gatherings of up to 50 guests.

Shifting from the collegiate and academic atmosphere of upstate New York to the vibrant coastal energy of South Florida, Le Particulier Miami offers an entirely different style of hospitality. Located in the heart of Miami Beach, this 54-room boutique hotel is housed within a meticulously restored historic Art Deco building. The property embraces its architectural heritage while infusing its interiors with expressive colors, tropical influences, and carefully curated design details. Each of the guestrooms is individually distinctive, offering a personalized boutique experience rather than a standardized hotel stay. Its central location places guests within effortless reach of Miami Beach’s renowned dining establishments, cultural arts venues, premier shopping districts, and dynamic coastal experiences.

Further north in New England, The Wolfeboro Inn provides a historic retreat rooted in nearly two and a half centuries of American resort tradition. Located in downtown Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, the 44-room boutique hotel sits directly on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, serving as a cornerstone of one of the country’s oldest established summer resort communities. The historic inn blends classic New England charm with modern comforts, offering guests access to a private beach and two private docks that make the most of its prime waterfront location.

On-site culinary offerings at The Wolfeboro Inn are anchored by Wolfe’s Tavern, a traditional gathering spot that provides authentic dining experiences for both hotel guests and local residents. Beyond its recreational and dining amenities, the property is exceptionally well-suited for larger functions, featuring more than 5,600 square feet of versatile meeting and event space. This extensive infrastructure allows the historic inn to seamlessly accommodate traditional weddings, corporate retreats, and various special gatherings against the picturesque backdrop of the lake and surrounding mountains.

With the integration of these three distinct properties, Waterford Hotel Group continues to solidify its presence across diverse regional markets, balancing the operational needs of modern select-service hotels, vibrant urban boutique properties, and historic destination resorts.
